A Bit of Interesting History and Facts about Show Low in Northeastern Arizona.

Established in 1870, Show Low was incorporated in 1953.  Show Low has all the modern day conveniences yet still retains that "OLD WEST ARIZONA" feel.  Show Low was named after a turn of a card, and to this day, a card game is used to decide the winner of a tied election.  Show Low is considered the commercial HUB of the White Mountains.  At 6400 ft, temperatures average 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix and Tucson.

 Show Low is tucked along the edge of the worlds largest stand of Ponderosa Pines, surrounded by the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest.  The views are breathtaking from every direction.  There are 48 local area fishing lakes within minutes of CAMPTOWN OF SHOWLOW, the lakes are stocked with rainbow trout, bass and catfish.  Show Low offers an indoor water theme park, aquatic center, and pool, all open year round.

 Sunrise Ski Resort at White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation and Casino is a scenic 30 minute drive.

 Show Low is a Full Service City.  It offers a local airport with airline service to Phoenix 3 times daily,  Show Low has a state accredited community college as well as Northern Arizona University undergraduate and graduate programs. 

The City of Show Low has many activities throughout the year including Show Low Days, Car Shows, Concerts in the Park, and Show Low Parades during Holiday Celebrations.
